Are you 18 years of age or under? Do you have caring responsibilities?
You may be eligible for support!
If you’re struggling to meet with the demands of school, can’t finish your homework, feel distracted and frequently miss school because the workload has become too much, we may be able to support you.
If you currently provide care and support for a parent, brother, sister or other family member with a chronic illness, disability, mental illness, alcohol or other substance dependence or who is frail with age, you may be able to access the following supports:
- Help with purchase of items required to support you at school such as school books, school uniforms or sports uniforms
- Support to enable you to attend your school camp
- Tutoring in school subjects such as maths, science, english, development of study skills, or preparation for exams
- Help at home with your usual caring tasks so that you can focus on your school work or attend school activities
We can meet with you to discuss your caring role and see which options may help you.
If you have siblings that help with your caring role they may be eligible too!
