ILC’s Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists are skilled in assessing, implementing and supporting technology for individuals with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities including autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy and intellectual disability.
- If you are not sure how technology could support your consumers or you’re not sure where to start we can support you to determine suitable technology options for your organisation and consumers through our information and advisory service funded by Disability Services Commission WA (DSC). As part of this service we also offer information sessions and community outreaches such as expos.
- If you already have technology in your organisation such as iPads, Boardmaker software and Proloquo2Go communication app, our Technology Team runs regular professional development and training throughout the year. We can also support you in learning how to use technology by providing individualised training and professional development for your staff. For our upcoming training visit ‘What’s On‘, or for our range of individualised training workshops visit our Training and Workshops page. We also share a range of resources and supports for communication devices, visual supports, iPads and tablets through Technology & Communication Resources.
- If technology is part of your organisation and you would like specialised support our Speech Pathologists and Occupational Therapists are available for consultative and therapy services. We can provide comprehensive assessment and prescription of assistive technology, support for funding, training and support in using technology.
The ILC is a provider under the NDIS, WA NDIS and PITS schemes. We are able to provide medico-legal assessment, reporting, therapy and consultancy services.
