The Independent Living Centre WA (ILC) provides information and advice, assessment, training, funding and hire services that enable Western Australians of all ages and abilities to live more independent and fulfilling lives.
Service areas include assistive technology and equipment, home modifications, Noah’s Ark WA, occupational therapy driver assessment, carer respite and support, allied health services, Home and Community Care regional assessment and grants and equipment funding.
This position will contribute to project and service development work that improves knowledge of and access to home modification and equipment provision in West Australia, development of the Independent Living Centre’s HACC funded Allied Health services and other initiatives that support service delivery underpinned by wellness and reablement strategies.
The position requires the person to have sound clinical knowledge in home modification and equipment prescription to contribute to the development of resources, documentation and educational materials, sector engagement initiatives and other relevant project activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in establishing and monitoring project documentation and timeframes and in the development and presentation of resources and training material. The position requires autonomy and responsibility so independent thinking and initiative are crucial.
The successful candidate will have a BSc (Occupational Therapy) and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the aged care, disability and/or healthcare industry.
The salary commences at $80,942 per annum plus 9.5% super, generous salary packaging for NFP available.
