The Independent Living Centre WA (ILC) is a not for profit organisation that supports all individuals, including people with disability, those who are aging, their families and carers, to live full and independent lives through the provision of allied health and assistive technology solutions.

The Role:

The Assistive Technology Services team at ILC is looking for an experienced, professional and friendly Customer Service Officer to work with our clients.  The role is responsible for greeting customers (via face-to-face, telephone, or email) and accurately identifying the purpose of their contact and service required.  Using their knowledge of ILC services and the aged care and disability sectors, the CSO either links the customer with internal or external services or provides information and advice on assistive technology.  Working within defined clinical parameters, CSOs will ensure a high level of service is provided to all customers.

Other key duties include management of equipment, database entry, supplier liaison and assisting customers to hire and/or purchase equipment.

 The Candidate:

A sound knowledge of general office procedures, reception and experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite, client data bases and willingness to learn are essential. Knowledge of goods, equipment and assistive technology in this sector is desirable but not essential.  Occasional overnight travel to regional WA and some flexibility in hours (after ordinary business hours) may be required.

The position is best suited to someone with the following attributes: strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, who is a team player with a customer service focus to their work.
