Work is already under way with the team energised after the break with a determination to embrace change with new ideas and partnerships in this uncertain environment of aged care reforms and a new Australian government.
We invite you to join us in the journey of ageing as we work with diverse communities providing aged care information and knowledge for greater access to services. Our focus will be the new and emerging communities in aged care in Western Australia.
At our Breakfast forums, we will liaise with ethno specific providers and communities to bring various cultural profiles, resources and latest information updates, experiences and learning of specialist agencies in working with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Your knowledge will be supported by our re-edited ‘Multicultural Aged Care Guide’ which has an additional nine new profiles and is available as a resource for your workplace. You can find out about our resources here.
We know that we have your support and we thank you. We would like to reciprocate and support you in providing culturally appropriate care with our free and ongoing training for your staff and management. I look forward to your suggestions of working together to support positive relationships with aged care providers and ethno specific providers in reaching out to CaLD communities.
