What’s the saying? A picture is worth a thousand words. If that’s the case what is a video worth?
The Independent Living Centre WA (ILC) is excited to announce the release of four new short videos, which we hope you agree are entertaining, informative, educational and a great way to promote the services of our organisation.
The ILC was fortunate to have people who we’ve worked with agree to share their stories on video about how a range of assistive equipment and technology helps them in their daily lives and to achieve their goals.
Through Daniel’s story, Daniel and his mum Joanne share with us how the right communication system for Daniel has changed his life. The video demonstrates how having the right assistive technology and communication aids, along with a good support team, can make a big difference to a person’s life.
Freda’s and Hal’s story takes us into the lives of the married 97-year-olds who continue to live independently in their own home and get out and about in the community. See how they live life the way they want to with a range of different assistive equipment.
Paul’s story demonstrates how he gets the most out of life with the use of assistive equipment. Paul and his wife Paula live on a five acre property with three horses, three dogs and their daughter Brenna. Paul, a father, husband and retired Country Ambulance Services Manager, has paraplegia, a condition which restricts his ability to move his legs. Through the use of assistive equipment specifically prescribed for him, including a wheelchair and scooter, Paul is able to participate in life and his community the way he wants to.
The fourth video ‘How could Independent Living Centre WA help me?’ is narrated by ILC CEO Gerri Clay and shows how the ILC’s experienced health professionals help people to choose and access assistive equipment, technology and services for independence and wellbeing. In this video, find out about how we could help you or someone you care for.
All videos are available for viewing on the Independent Living Centre WA YouTube channel. Please share them amongst your friends, family and colleagues and help to spread the word about how the services of the ILC can make a big difference to people’s lives.
All of the videos were produced by the highly recommended Alucinor Productions. The Alucinor Productions team doesn’t need a written testimonial as you will see that the videos are testimony enough to their great skills.
