The ILC is excited by a new opportunity to develop and deliver a project to enable people with a disability to access supports to choose emerging assistive technology.
Assistive technology, whether it is communication technology, environmental controls or telecare, can enhance people’s choice, independence and participation.
The My Tech project aims to support people to identify, trial (if possible) and access funding for the range of products that may support them.
ILC staff will deliver a full assessment for the individual and will support the funding process to procure the devices.
The My Tech project will be officially launched in the coming months and eligibility and the referral process will be shared soon.
