Trips to the Wheatbelt with Lynda

Lynda QuigleyCan you believe how quickly March has come about?  Preparation for the first country trip is being finalised and we are heading out on March 7th for the first Independent Living Centre Country trip for 2017.

This will mark the second country trip that I have been on, having visited the South West in September last year.  I am looking forward to seeing the countryside and meeting the people of the Wheatbelt as this will be my first ILC visit, having taken over the Wheatbelt portfolio from Bec, who is enjoying time away from the ILC on maternity leave.

Our first country trip starts in the Great Southern region, with an expo in Cranbrook – “Healthy in the Bush” – which is being held at the Cranbrook Sporting Club from 9am to 1pm on March 8th.

From Cranbrook we will travel to the Wheatbelt and I am excited to be attending the Wagin Woolarama! The Woolarama is at the Wagin Showgrounds and is on March 10th and 11th. My understanding is this is a huge, well attended event and we would love to see you so come on by our mobile display unit which will be situated at site number 455 which is located near the wool pavilion.

From Wagin we travel to Corrigin where we will set up near the Corrigin Community Resource Centre (CRC) on Monday March 13th from 9 until 12, and then on to Bruce Rock for the afternoon, near the Bruce Rock CRC, from 1 until 4pm.

On Tuesday, March 14th, we will spend the day in Merredin, with a presentation at the CRC from 10:30am, so come along and join us for some morning tea.  Following the presentation at the CRC, we will have our mobile display unit open and set up in the car park of the CRC.

Wednesday, March 15th sees us leave Merredin and travel to Kellerberrin, where we will set up the mobile display unit for the afternoon near Memorial Hall from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

From here, I  return to Perth and Amanda Hudson travels into the Great Southern Region to continue the trip with the Mobile display unit from March 16th until March 22nd.
