As of 1 July 2013, the Independent Living Centre WA welcomed Noah’s Ark WA as a new service delivery arm of the organisation.

Noah’s Ark WA is dedicated to supporting children with a disability or developmental delay to meet their full potential. The organisation provides specialised toys, resources and support to children and young people with special needs and their families.

The Noah’s Ark WA Board made the decision to seek a merger with another like minded not-for-profit organisation in 2012 in order to ensure the long term viability of Noah’s Ark.

The ILC was chosen as the preferred merger organisation on the basis of strong synergies between the two organisations, including mutual target audiences, statewide service delivery, management and delivery of equipment, professional therapy staff group and shared purpose, that being information, advice and training.

The merger will bring many benefits to children with special needs, their families, carers and therapists.
