ILC Staff

It is often said that organisations can only be as good as their staff. If this is true then it is hard to dispute that the ILC is fortunate enough in having a fabulous team of dedicated staff members.

The ILC employs a mix of wonderfully skilled and competent staff across all areas and functions in the organisation. A diverse range of valued skills spanning administration and finance, an eclectic mix of Health and other Professionals drawn from Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Speech Pathology, Education and other health and age related professional groups allows for the advantage that diversity offers in the way we respond and meet the demands of our customers.

Development and Representation

The ILC has developed and implemented a comprehensive orientation program which ensures all staff are equipped with an understanding of services and functions of the organisation across all departments. Staff throughout their period of employment maintain a high degree of understanding through meeting updates and refresher courses.

The organisation is aware that continued self-development and learning is a priority to maintain and build within our staff base and provide a flexible environment for those furthering studies whilst in our employ. The organisation facilitates visits from training groups to visit the centre and runs update sessions on office technology and applications for all staff, whilst specialist administrative staff receive fully paid training sessions offsite. In 2007/2008 a staff scholarship was awarded to Judi Donald for her to undertake a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment that will enable her to complete the level 4 in manutention in the future. Manutention is the form of manual handling training used within the ILC, Bluesky Healthcare sponsored the scholarship.

Professional staff are actively involved in presenting papers at national and state conferences and boast a strong and impressive presence on committees through out the health, disability and aging sectors.
