New ICT Grant
The ICT Grant for accommodation support services was launched on the 31st July, 2012.
The Independent Living Centre ofWA (ILC) manages a number of grants and subsidy programs for people with disabilities living in Western Australia.
Equipment for Living Grants (EFL)
The state Government recently announced additional funding available for eligible people with disabilities living in Western Australia to receive Equipment for Living Grants (EFL). These grants are being administered through the Independent Living Centre of WA.
Grants will be available from July 1, 2012 and will be available until June 30, 2013.

Disability Equipment Grants Program (DEG)
The Independent Living Centre of WA (ILC) administers the Disability Equipment Grants (DEG) Program and all enquiries and applications should be directed to ILC Grants team.
1. DEG - Grants for Equipment
The Disability Equipment Grants (DEG) program assists West Australian individuals with permanent disabilities with specific items of equipment. The program is income assessed and aims to help people with equipment they who would not otherwise be able to afford.

2. DEG Subsidies
The Independent Living Centre of WA (ILC) through the Disability Equipment Grants (DEG) manages subsidy programs.
Eligiblity
The subsidy is income assessed and eligibility is as follows:
- Holders of a current Centrelink Pension Concession Card (PCC) are eligible for the subsidy
- People over 65 years need to hold a current Centrelink PCC to be eligible
- All other income earners are assessed on gross annual income according to the details below

| Single | Up to $25,000 | Up to $50,000 |
| Couple (combined) no children | Up to $38,000 | Up to $75,000 |
| Combined family with children | Up to $42,000 | Up to $80,000 |
Incomes within level 1 and 2 are eligible for the subsidy
Incomes over level 2 are not eligible for the subsidy
Please note all subsidy requests are subject to availability of grant funding
OT Driver Assessment Subsidy
A subsidy may be available for eligible people with disabilities who require an Occupational Therapy Driver Assessment for:
- Vehicle modifications
- Fitness to driver

Driver Training Subsidy
The ILC through the Disability Equipment Grant (DEG) program provides subsidised driver training for eligible people with disabilities who require lessons in a modified vehice and with a driving instructor experienced in rehabilitation.
FIRST TIME DRIVERS
Half (50%) subsidy is available (up to maximum of 17 lessons). Lessons need to be completed within a 6 month period from date of commencement.
ACQUIRED DISABILITY (Previous licensed driving experience)
Full (100%) subsidy for first 4 lessons. Half (50%) subsidy for additional lessons if required ( up to 13).

Other funding sources.
More information on other potential sources of funding which may assist with the purchase of equipment to help people with disabilities. All funding programs have eligibility criteria and need a Health Professional to work with you to find the best equipment available.
