ILC Assistive Equipment Database
We have an extensive computerised database containing information on over 6,500 products and services for people with disabilities and older persons.
Information is added to the database and regularly updated by health professionals.
Product information includes (but is not limited to) dimensions, models, options, place of manufacture, Western Australian suppliers, and approximate prices.
Digitised images of items are displayed, and the system has the facility to show videos of the products in use.
Search facilities include searching for products in designated groups, searching by keywords, searching by dimensions or searching by supplier.
The database also contains "Buyer's Guides" and general information (to help choose products). It is recommended that advice be obtained from a health professional to assist with choosing the most appropriate products.
Information on products and services in the database, as well as comprehensive advice, may be obtained by telephoning the Independent Living Centre's enquiry line to speak with a health professional, and to make an appointment for a consultation at the Centre if required. Information sheets can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed following a consultation with a therapist.
The database is available to external users via this website.
