How ILC Tech Can Help You

The ILC Tech team consists of Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists. Consultation can be done by phone, by email, by appointment in person or by videoconference. There are no eligibility criteria for accessing ILC Tech. Anyone throughout Western Australia can access the ILC Tech service for information on the range of technology options available.

The range of technology options includes:

  • Tablets and apps
  • Computer Access equipment such as alternative keyboard and mouse options
  • A range of high-tech voice output communication devices and low-tech communication options
  • Environmental control systems to control appliances such as televisions, DVD players, lights
  • Literacy support software and tools

Appointments are essential and service users need to be aware that there may be a waiting period for some appointments. To make an appointment please contact ILC Tech. When you contact us we will ask you further questions to helps us make sure we have the right equipment and staff available to assist you. Country Trips

We are funded to provide a limited number of appointments in country areas each year. Appointments will be held with a Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist from the Technology Service. Technology workshops may also be available on request. Contact ILC Tech for more information.

Community Outreach

Cost

The information and advice provided by ILC Tech is a free service provided to people with a disability, seniors, carers, family members and service providers. Funding for this service area is supported by the Disability Services Commission (DSC) and Home and Community Care Program (HACC).

Fees may apply for technology implementation and set up, training and workshops.
