Remnant Book

A remnant book is like a scrapbook or visual diary. It is as simple as getting an exercise book or small file and starting to add entries for what you have been doing. The date and written description can also be added alongside your “remnant”. Remnant can be anything that “tells a story” and should be meaningful to the individual. Examples might include photographs, drawings, menus, ticket stubs, brochures, train timetable, lolly wrapper, birthday invitation, magazine cutting, receipts or packaging. Anything that allows the person to share a topic and initiate an interaction.

Remnant books are designed to support social interaction and support the user to share information about something they have done, seen or liked!
