If you would like support to identify assistive equipment and technologies that will help you with daily tasks and to achieve your goals, the Equip Myself app is for you.

An initiative of the Independent Living Centre WA, the tablet app released in September 2016 empowers Australians with disability by supporting them to identify assistive equipment and technology options that may be suitable for them.

Through a virtual world, people can explore assistive equipment and technologies in the environments in which they would be used. They are also able to read real life stories about how people with disability in Western Australia use assistive technology in their lives.

People can use the app as a planning tool, they can create their own profile and share their favourite equipment items with their support team.

The app links to NED, the Independent Living Centres Australia online national equipment database, which contains impartial information about the range of assistive technology (AT) and equipment options available throughout Australia. The database comprises over 11,000 AT products and is an essential tool enabling people with disability to research the best AT solutions available to them nationwide.

The Equip Myself app is free and is available on the App Store and Google PlayTM now.
