New Equipment at Nedlands

ILC’s Nedlands Centre has a wide range of assistive equipment on display including telecare technology, mobility devices, telecommunications, bathing and dressing aids, kitchen equipment, cushions and mattresses, hoists and home modifications.

In recent months some new items have been added to the display floor including the Ottobock Kimba Neo stroller, Medifab Shuttle Discovery Seating System on Verve Stroller Base, Seating Matters Phoenix Chair, Uccello Feather Light Power Pour Kettle and Safe Sip Drink Cover.

Size two kimba seating system mounted on size two outdoor mobility base. Features include headrest supports, thoracic supports, 5 point harness and footplate.

A postural support system suitable for children. The seat can be removed and placed on a variety of bases. The Verve is a four wheeled stroller base. Features include 5 point harness, headrest, thoracic supports, hip blocks, pommel, tray, sun canopy and rain cover.

A fully adjustable pressure relief chair designed to give maximum support to the upper body through lateral and head supports. This chair is available for short term hire through ILC’s hire department.

A food grade silicone, BPA free, flexible cover for glasses, mugs, bottles and cans. The safe sip is designed to reduce spills and to keep unwanted things out. The Safe Sip has two holes in the top, one to accommodate a straw and the other to allow airflow, and is available in a range of colours.

If you would like to visit the Nedlands display floor, appointments can be made to see an occupational therapist to discuss your needs in greater depth and to ensure that the right equipment is available for you to trial when you visit.

Alternatively, if you prefer not to make an appointment you are welcome to drop in to the Centre during one of our upcoming ‘Drop By’ times.

It is recommended that you contact us on 9381 0600 prior to visiting to see if an appointment is necessary for the equipment or technology you would like to view. This will ensure that you get the assistance you require when you come in.
