Outstanding commitment to Variety acknowledged

Sally Hunter with young child at ILCWe would like to congratulate Sally Hunter who has been nominated as the WA recipient for a 2015 Variety International Presidential Citation, which recognizes outstanding contributions to Variety.

The winners will be announced at next years Variety International Conference. Sally has been an integral member of the Variety Grants Committee for the past 14+ years serving as Chair of the Grants Committee from 2007-2012 and member of the Board of Management from 2007-2012.  She has been a key driver in the ongoing strategic direction and development of the Grants Committee, including policy development, assistive technology assessment processes and committee member development. Key accomplishments have been championing the founding of the Variety Motor Mouth Camp program in conjunction with Kelly Savage; she was instrumental in the development of the iconic Variety Place project at Kings Park and a key supporter in the growth of the Variety Scholarship program.

It is no wonder she has been nominated for this award and we are very proud to have such a dynamic and humble person as our Assistive Technology Manager at ILC.
