To celebrate National Carers Week, the ILC in partnership with the City of Stirling will be hosting a Carers Big Day Out on Monday 14 October.
This free event is to enable community and carer respite services to reach out to carers within the community and showcase what they offer and provide. Services including respite and Home & Community Care (HACC) for aged care, disability, mental health and young carers have been invited to participate along with peak bodies and other key community groups.
Attendees will have access to the latest information on rapidly changing community programs and respite services across the north metropolitan region. Together with a range of exhibits and presentations, the day will provide fun recreational activities for carers, entertainment and catering.
The event details are:
- Monday 14 October, 10am – 3pm
- Scarborough Community Centre, 173 Gildercliffe Street, Scarborough
If you require transport or respite care to enable you to attend the event contact ILC’s Respite and Carelink Centre on 1800 052 222.
